Species Yaginumanis sexdentatus (Yaginuma,1967) Boethus sexdentatus Yaginuma,1967:54, Yaginumanis sexdentatus: Wanless 1984F153-155,f.b.e-j,(nec a-d). Material.1male,1female- Boethus sexdentaus Yaginuma- Osaka Pref.[widely distributed in Japan,but rare], V 1943,leg.det.T.Yaginuma-coll.J.Prosznski. The group of genera Spartaeinae Wanless,1984 to which this species is related is characterized by large size of eyes II, which are not much smaller than eyes III. This character can be presumably traced back to some Eocene-Oligocene species preserved in amber ( Prosynski and Zabka 1980, see also Wanless 1984: 138). However, other genera with comparable palpal organ and so presumably related, may have eyes II much smaller (for instance Cyrba Simon). Male. Cephalothorax fawnish with lower parts of thorax dark brown, brownish-grey spots centrally on eye field. Eyes II relatively large, slightly less separated than other lateral eyes, all dark surrounded. Fovea in a form of an unusually long reddish-brown line. Legs pale yellowish. Abdomen elongate, marrowing posterioly, whitish with traces of reddish short adpressed setae on lateral surfaces anteriorly. Clypeus fawnish, covered with colourless and whitish setae. Chelicerae brown with apical 1/3 whitish-yellow. Cymbium large and broad, greyish-fawn. Anterior legs yellowish, devoid of any brushes of setae which are so characteristic for related genus Portia Karsch. Body ventrally whitish-yellow, with median logitudinal area of abdomen (about 2/3 of its width) darker, pale greyish-yellow. A pair of grey lines in front of spinnerets, which are yellowish. Palpal organ resembles Portia and Cyrba by complicated tibial apophyses (fig.3), round bulbus with sclerotizations characteristic for this group, embolus reduced to a short spine (figs.1-2). Female resembles male, the brown lateral surfaces on abdomen preserved better. Light dorsal area on abdomen constricted in 2/3 of length, its posterior part diamond-shaped. Frontal aspect generally yellowish with thin transverse brownish-grey belts across chelicerae. Ventral aspect generally whitish-yellow. Epigyne shown on figs.4-5. Measurements (male-female): length of cephalothorax 2.80-3.14, length of abdomen 3.64-3.78, length of eye field 1.40-1.62, width of eye field I (on level of eyes I) 1.90-2.13, width of eye field III (on level of eyes III) 1.74-1.96, height 1.54-1.68. Length of segments of legs: I 0.76-0.81+1.40-1.43+.34-1.48+0.92-1.26+1.85-2.04; II 0.78-0.81+1.37-1.40+1.34-1.46+0.89-1.18+1.96-2.13; III 0.89-1.04+1.59-1.59+1.40-1.62+0.87-1.04+1.79-2.04; IV 0.84-0.89+2.35-2.38+1.82-2.10+0.95-1.12+2.16-2.52. Wanless has described recently (1984,fig.6) from apparently the same sample 2 males and 7 females as Yaginumanis sexdentatus. Whilst males agree with figs.1-3, the females differ from the specimen from Yaginuma collection shown in figs.4-5 but are identical with figs.6-7 given below. The matching of one of those two different females with the male of Yagimanis sexdentatus requires therefore further considerations. We noted during casual examination in 1967 only following characters. Eyes II not much smaller than eyes III. Chelicerae have at least four minute teeth on inner posterior margin (fig.8).
